Gatekeepers

Monroe Vicariate Young Adult Ministry

Gatekeepers is a Catholic community of young adults seeking to grow in discipleship and holiness by living out a Christian lifestyle.

We are a ministry of the Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit serving young adults within southeast Michigan and the surrounding areas.  We welcome all young adults of all faiths and all walks of life, whether single, dating, engaged or married, to come and grow in their faith.

The name "Gatekeepers" was chosen to reflect our lives.  As young adults, we are the gatekeepers to our future, to our vocations and to our faith.  As we enter our twenties and thirties, we begin to make decisions which will change and chart the course of our lives, thus we are gatekeepers of our lives.  The Monroe Vicariate (the name of the southern portion of the Archdiocese we are located in) has also been termed as a gateway to the Archdiocese and as the young adults of this gateway, we are the gatekeepers.  Life is a journey and we invite you to join us so we may all grow in faith together!

The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
